Opie is a laid-back, sweet, and calm guy who would make an excellent walking buddy. He’s fantastic on a leash and enjoys leisurely strolls, always with a quiet and happy demeanor. He eats and drinks well and is independent, making him a great choice for a home with or without another dog.

Though Opie has not been tested with small children or small dogs, he’s generally easy-going and gets along well with others. He can be a bit sensitive in new situations but quickly settles in with some gentle encouragement. At this time, we are still unsure if Opie is cat-safe and are continuing to monitor his behavior.

Opie has never encountered hardwood floors or stairs in his racing days, and finds them a bit slippery. With mats placed around the house, he’s making great progress navigating these areas, though he still needs some work to master them.
