Winter Walk on the Farmington Canal Greenway
December 14 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm
Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and enjoy a relaxing walk with your greyhound on the scenic Farmington Canal Greenway!
Join us for a leisurely walk along the scenic Farmington Canal Greenway Rail Trail. We’ll meet at the parking lot in Hamden, gathering at the marked entrance to the trail. Once on the path, we’ll head toward Cheshire, walking about 1-1.5 miles out before turning back on the same route. The paved, multi-use trail follows former rail corridors and canal towpaths, offering a perfect setting for our greyhounds to stretch their legs and enjoy the crisp winter air.
Don’t forget to bring your holiday cheer and maybe even a festive sweater for your greyhound!
Add Some Extra Adventure: Hike Sleeping Giant State Park
For those seeking a bit more adventure, Sleeping Giant State Park is just a short distance away, offering plenty of hiking opportunities before or after our walk on the canal trail. If you’d like to join us for an additional hike, please reach out to christine@ctgreyhounds.org for more details.
