Don’t let the name fool you — Salsa is the definition of cool, calm, and collected. This sweet, gentle girl settled into foster care like she’d done it before, and she’s grown into her role as a pet with quiet confidence. She loves attention and affection, and she’s not shy about showing it — that long tail wags often, and cuddle sessions have become a daily highlight.

Outdoors, Salsa is a natural. She trots along at a good clip on her walks and genuinely seems to love them. Squirrels catch her eye, but she walks nicely on leash and keeps her focus. Birds? She’s clocked that they fly away, so she doesn’t bother. When neighborhood dogs bark from their yards, she simply moves on.

At home, she’s relaxed and easygoing. She enjoys her crate and will wander in on her own to decompress. Countertop boundaries are understood and respected. She’s been great with small dogs and is perfectly calm around young children, even with sudden movements. Salsa has not yet been cat tested.
