He’s great with people of all ages, including children, and is happy to be your steady companion. Whether you’re looking for a solo sidekick or a buddy for your current dog, Barney could fit right in — he’s wonderful with other greyhounds and does well with larger non-greyhounds, too.

Barney can comfortably stay alone in the house for 7–8 hours without any issues. He’s loving, loyal, and very affectionate — the kind of dog who’ll be thrilled just to be near you.

Outside, Barney is still very interested in little critters like squirrels and rabbits (and is getting more desensitized every day), so a home without cats or small dogs is required. A fenced yard would be ideal but is not necessary as long as his human is strong enough to redirect him when he gets distracted.
